Marc Jacobs Beauty....Recommendations??

I didn't buy anything from the Marc Jacobs Beauty line online, but I'm thinking about a trip to Sephora that carries it. I didn't see a lot of rave reviews, and nothing really caught my eye either. I'm thinking maybe the Petra nail polish and one of the lip gels. No eyeshadow palettes though- $59 for .24 oz.... I'm pretty happy with Sleek palettes- $10 for .36 oz. and my next palette will probably be the Naked 3 (I swore I didn't want it but but but... I probably do!)

Did anybody try anything from Marc Jacobs? What should I get?

BYS Lipstick: Champagne Rain

I've had this lipstick for a while, but never posted about it... It's the only BYS product I own, but I really like it. It's really creamy and pigmented. I am not that into nudes- this might actually be the only one I use anymore- and I still like to wear it sometimes.

Innisfree Lip Concealer

Recently I've been looking for any product that will help 'seal' lipstick. I've never tried a lip concealer; I think regular concealers work just fine. The problem with this product is, it doesn't conceal anything... It goes on almost invisible. It doesn't extend lip color or prevent feathering either.

Has anybody tried this? What is it supposed to do??

Dior Concealer Brush

Recently Dior redesigned their brushes. I still don't like their face brushes, but I did get this concealer brush, and I like it a lot.

This brush is a huge improvement from the previous version; the handle and ferrule are made better, and the brush itself is nice to use. It is synthetic, but very smooth and I like the angle, it's really effective for using under the eyes. Surprisingly, it is also very easy to clean, unlike most of my other concealer brushes. It is just the right thickness too- this helps minimize a streaky application. I use a 'pat and dab' type method with it, and it's worked out well. Overall, I'd recommend!

Interesting: Sephora Smart Liner

This looks so interesting! I'm a bit eyeliner-challenged so I'm willing to try anything that makes it easier. I saw something from a Korean brand called "compass" eyeliner that looked similar.

Sleek Vintage Romance Palette Swatches & Review

I wasn't going to buy this palette, I thought I had too many similar shades....but I'm glad I caved! I was expecting a few 'issues'- troublesome shades, etc. but that wasn't the case. The textures are really different, but they are all good.  I only didn't care for the black as it is very dry, but it still applies fine. The first four metallic shades really define 'buttery'- they are almost like a cream shadow, they are so smooth. But I really bought this for the bottom five- those burgundies are really beautiful but they are so pigmented I need more practice with placement so they don't make me look weird and bruised. I think it's an awesome palette for people with more time and talent than me.

I thought I might have similar shades in this MUA "Glamour Days" palette, but only a few were similar, and the Sleek palette shades are far better, comparing them to MUA 

This shows roughly what it looks like on the eyes. I had to blend a lot more after I did this, plus I used a matte tan to make it look more even, but I couldn't get any decent photos 

Skin Food Premium Eye Kit

This is a set of three mini tubes of eye cream: Black Raspberry, Royal Honey, and Platinum Grape.

I can't say I've had any noticeable anti-wrinkle effects, but they are all very creamy and moisturizing. I don't detect any difference in the textures, but the grape one is the most pleasant scent for me, and I use it in the morning since it's the only one that claims any brightening. I don't notice that either, but I still like it because it really feels soothing on my eyes after I wake up.

Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick: Lady Luck

Every time I get a new lipstick, I swear it's my favorite lol!! But I guess that's better than a bunch of them I don't like. I really like these Gosh lipsticks; they're so creamy, smooth, long-lasting, pigmented....

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara Review

I couldn't pass all the signs promoting this new mascara. I'm almost always willing to try a new mascara!

For some reason, I was expecting more from this mascara. It's really, really dry compared to almost any other Rimmel mascara I've tried. I have a hard time using most mascaras on my bottom lashes, this brush is too big for them too. The brush is really big and wide, but it doesn't seem to give much volume or length, nor did it "fan my lashes up and out"... I don't know if something's wrong with my particular tube, but I just do not care for this one.

Dior Fusion Eyeshadow: Millennium

When I saw these, I wanted to get what I thought was the most unique shade. I got Millennium, and I'm not disappointed! This is just a beautiful product.

The texture is not too spongey, but more than a normal cream shadow. It came with a teeny sponge applicator but its just too small for me, I used a synthetic flat brush, Trish McEvoy #66. I It really goes on smoothly and the color, the finish, it's just great, no problems with it at all.

Small Bourjois Haul

I ordered a few things from Bourjois- I really like the brand, I think they're fairly consistent, and really excellent for a drugstore brand. Too bad the Halloween polish didnt get to me in time, but I'll wear it for sure anyway! It's called Dangerous Wish. I also got a lipstick, some wipes, and the thing I wanted most, was the concealer. I'll try it this week. The wipes are awesome- really moist, effective, and gentle- not irritating.

Essence Lash Mania Mascara Mini-Review

I don't know why I don't put "review" in so many of my posts...I just don't now if talking about it qualifies as a proper review in my case sometimes I guess!

I'm just coming from battling a 30+ hour migraine, I got a new dose of triptan but I am just starting to use electronics again, so a mini review it is today....

Cut to the point here: this mascara is pretty awful! It doesn't volumize that much and it flakes everywhere. Pass!

EOTD Trial: Blue on Blue

I love blue eyeshadow on brown eyed people, but on me it does nothing.....it makes my eyes look super grey and washed out, plus really it's not a suitable colour for me at all anymore- maybe an occasional bright blue or even turquoise, is better on me. I haven't used blue in a long time though, so I wanted to give it a try again.

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick: Gilian

Since this lipstick is so expensive, I wanted to get a shade I knew I would wear a lot. I chose #14, Gilian. It's really pretty, but just barely visible over my lips. Its really creamy, very soft and has a lovely sheen. I only wish it lasted longer, as I have to reapply almost hourly. I also thought I would really like the tube itself, being so heavy and with the mirror, but it feels too bulky. For that, I can't say I'm too happy with it. I do think its great for a night out, where you maybe don't have the opportunity to use a full length mirror, and the heaviness means for me anyway, easier to find in my bag.

Small Essence Polishes Haul

I finally found the new Essence polishes! I got Pink and Proud, Give Me Nude, Baby, The Green and the Grunge, and Here's My Number. Really love these!! The milky color needs too many coats but will be nice for layering...and the sand polish really works!

My Recent Brush Additions: MAC 159 and 286

These are my newest MAC brushes and they've quickly become favorites! They're both duo fiber brushes.

The 159 is amazing for highly pigmented blushes- it doesn't pick up too much product, and its easy to both apply and blend with it. I also like to use it with glittery blushes so it doesn't pick up too much of the glitter, but that might not be useful for everyone. I'm going to test it this week with a new cream blush I just bought....I'm thinking it will work great with that too!

The 286 looks kind of average, but the size and shape are just perfect for blending... A little too long and fluffy for crease work for me personally, but it might be workable. I love how it doesn't overblend.

Happy Halloween.... I don't have my kid dressed up but with hours left to spare I don't know if I will or not... they banned trick-or-treating and make you go to malls now- sorry but my first thought is, that is just so lame... not the childhood I remember that's for sure.

I dont think I have time to fix my nails either, I tried to use Bundle Monster sets but obviously the whole thing isn't working out... 

I've seen a ton of looks online already, but can't wait to see everybody else's Halloween photos!!
