Inglot Cream Concealer #34 Review

I'm going to try another concealer review... I'm not sure if I'll do many more of these though.

This one is really lightweight with light coverage. It feels a bit powdery once it's on, but I've worn a couple layers without it looking cakey.

Inglot Cream Concealer

I can definitely see a difference when I use this.... and I really love the thin, lightweight texture for under the eyes.  However, this doesn't cover spots or anything, so I'd use something with fuller coverage for that.

Bourjois Happy Light Concealer Review

This is one of the Bourjois products I got recently.  This only comes in three shades- 21,22, and 23.  I got 22, Beige Rose... and I will state right away, I don't think it's a color match- at least it's not a concealer shade I would normally buy, as it is a bit darker than my skin.

The texture is thick and a bit sticky...not creamy and smooth. This is actually helpful for this product; if it were creamier I would probably overapply and that would look cakey. I find the coverage to be one of the fullest I've used in a concealer... Not the easiest to blend either. That's why it was harder for me to use under the eyes, but it's perfect for little spots.

This is how it covers a (brown) freckle:

I think this shows, it really provides excellent coverage. Since its so thick, you don't need more than one layer either. It's like you barely dab it on, and you're covered.

I don't think I review a lot of concealers.... because I can never really capture how they work.  Here are the before and after photos, I tried my best.

With Concealer

I think from these close up photos, either it doesn't look very good or you can't tell.  But from my viewpoint, it doesn't look "luminous" at all. I have used it on a blood vessel on my face, and it covers that totally... But then I have to put foundation over it to even it out. A great thing is, I just got the Happy Light foundation so I'm hoping it'll be good with it. But overall, this concealer is a really great choice for coverage.

Physician's Formula Yellow Concealer Stick Review

I have been using Physician's Formula concealer sticks off and on over the past year or so.  Recently this yellow one piqued my interest.  It came with a flesh coloured one also, and it was only $5.99.

I had never used a yellow concealer before.  Here are the swatches- the yellow one is on top:

I like these lipstick-styled concealers, they are so easy to work with.  These have a creamy texture, excellent coverage and very blendable.   I followed the directions on the package exactly, and I did this deliberately at 1 a.m. because generally, I don't have darkness under my eyes.
Here are the directions:

This brings me to something else I want to show you.  It is my favourite concealer brush of all time.

This is such a wonderful brush.  It makes application effortless, and I especially love that it is not too rough for the delicate under eye area.

Back to the concealers. It did take a bit of time to apply because I wanted to get it just right, but these concealers are so blendable and easy.

I did a before and after, I think the difference is noticeable enough.

I thought it looked amazing!!!  The teeny little veins- gone.  The darkness- gone.  My eyes brightened up my entire face.  I love these so much now.  It's an extra step I never would have taken before, but now that I see the difference it makes, I will definitely be keeping these around.

Review: Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer

I tend to like concealers that are in stick form.  I have used NARS stick concealer for a long time, and I have also used Physician's Formula green stick concealer.

I purchased this in Soft Honey:

The texture was creamy and moist, but not thick.  NARS is much thicker and drier, for a comparison.  I did not have a blemish to cover, but I have a small blood vessel spot from pregnancy/childbirth on my cheek that I always cover. This product did not work for me at all.  It didn't blend well, and it did not cover the spot.  I would not purchase this product again.

Inglot Brow Powder, Brow Wax, and Concealer: Quick Review

I had a really hard time getting pictures to come out right, so I am just going to post what the products look like and then give my opinions.

I ordered a round palette from Inglot, which I chose brow powders and wax, and concealers.

Brow powders

Concealer, brow wax

I have been using these for a week or so, and I do not like them at all.  The brow powder I really dislike.  It seems like I am putting a lot of it on my brush and it doesnt last through the day.  The texture is too hard for me to work with it.  I would much rather have one of their matte eyeshadows and use that as brow powder, rather than this.  I went back to my cheapie NYX brow powder and have been happy with it.
The brow wax is ok, I didn't really have a problem with it besides it is too dark for me, and I thought I got the lightest shade they had.  If they had a clear wax I would rather get that.

The concealer, this is my own personal experience with it, so I am sure others might see it differently.  For me, it is way too sticky and thick.  It has the texture of a lip gloss.  I don't like it.  I had to put a lot of product onto a brush and its really so hard to blend, I wouldn't use it.  I don't like any agressive strokes on my face, I really do not, and you really have to work this concealer in for it to be effective.  Probably better applied with fingers, but I'm not going to.  That being said, it does conceal very well once you can get it blended in, but for me, it's not worth the effort because thankfully, I hardly get blemishes, I don't have any noticeable under eye problems, and I only have a couple very tiny imperfections on my face that I need to conceal.

Overall, I am very pleased with Inglot eyeshadows but these products are not fine with me and I would not repurchase.  However, they do have an excellent colour range of these products which would be very appealing.
