I don't ever really go by "spending bans", but I do need to limit the quantities I buy, that's where my problems tend to occur. I really don't want to buy anything that I won't end up keeping for a while, but that's so hard. Starting in July I am going to limit myself to a certain quantity each month. First I thought ten is great, but then I figured I definitely buy more than one item every three days and whenever I go to a store I don't remember ever buying only one thing! But I am definitely going to try my best to stick to ten items....is that reasonable??
I think this is an interesting way to go about a "spending ban." I can definitely understand the logic in limiting to a certain dollar amount, but either way forces you to put some more thought into purchases- which I think is the biggest thing. Good luck! I think 10 is a reasonable amount to start with. :)
ReplyDeleteI think 10 is reasonable and you can always lower it later if you feel like you want more of a challenge! Good luck, I did a spending ban at the beginning of the year and I definitely think this is a better way to go! x
ReplyDeleteMay the force be with you..... I really need to join you with something along the lines of limiting my spendings or better yet a total ban all together but I think if I did a total ban all together I would go crazy with spendings at the end of the month haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback guys! At first I was considering 30 (!!!!) but I realize that's not a limit at all hehe! I totally agree, it does make you really think about your purchases. And I agree if I limited too much I'd go nuts or cry or something! Ashe, I read when you were banning, I'm def not that strong! ;)
