NYX Round Lipstick in Femme Review, Photos, Swatches

I was searching for an orange lipstick, and this one was recommended. 

First of all, it is not a true orange. To me it appears more coral with an orange base.


I was unfortunately not impressed with this lipstick.  It is not because it is inexpensive, as I have tried many other lipsticks in all price ranges, even less expensive than these. 

Perhaps these lipsticks are so popular because they come in like a billion shades suitable for all skin types. 


It has a really bad taste, very heavily like stale perfume, it is really horrible.  The good note is that the taste fades after about half an hour.  It also has a very oily, slimey like texture.  I had to immediately wipe if off my lips, it was that bad. 

When I did decide to keep it on my lips for the purposes of this review, it lasted about 2 1/2 hours, which was surprising considering it felt like it was going to slide right off my lips the whole time.  It definitely does not last through eating or drinking though. 

I also felt like it applied really unevenly. 

One thing I did like was the colour, it was nice.  But I would definitely never use this again, and I am wary to try any of their products in the future except for the eye pencils. 

I also tried a different shade because I thought, maybe just this one was bad, but it appears to be the formula.  

I tried "Almost Black", and again, I really liked the color but the other issues were the same.
